Understanding the Gospel
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Romans 1:16-17
Devotional Thought:
The Gospel is the Good News of Jesus Christ—His death, burial, and resurrection. This message is the foundation of our faith. It is not just a philosophy or a set of moral teachings; it is the power of God for salvation. Without Jesus’ sacrifice, we would remain separated from God due to our sin. The Gospel is God’s rescue plan, fulfilling His promise to redeem humanity.
Reflection Question:
How has the Gospel changed your perspective on life and eternity?

The Problem of Sin
Romans 3:23
Romans 6:23
Isaiah 59:2
Devotional Thought:
Sin separates us from God. Because He is holy, He cannot tolerate sin. No amount of good works can bridge the gap between us and God. Romans 3:23 reminds us that all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. However, Romans 6:23 presents both the bad news and the Good News: the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.
Reflection Question:
In what ways do you see the impact of sin in the world and in your own life?

Jesus—The Only Way
John 14:6
Acts 4:12
1 Timothy 2:5
Devotional Thought:
Many people believe there are multiple paths to God, but Jesus made it clear that He is the only way. His sacrifice was necessary to satisfy God’s justice while displaying His love. No religious leader, philosophy, or self-effort can save us—only Jesus. The exclusivity of Christ is not about restriction but about the only solution to sin and separation from God.
Reflection Question:
Do you fully trust Jesus as the only way to salvation, or are you tempted to seek other means for security and peace?

The Power of the Resurrection
1 Corinthians 15:51-55
Romans 8:11
Philippians 3:10
Devotional Thought:
Jesus did not just die for our sins; He rose again, proving His victory over sin and death. His resurrection guarantees our future hope of eternal life with Him. Because He lives, we can face the trials of life with confidence, knowing that our destiny is secure in Him. The resurrection gives us power to live transformed lives today.
Reflection Question:
How does the resurrection of Jesus give you hope and courage in your daily struggles?

Responding to the Gospel
Romans 10:9-13
Ephesians 2:8-9
2 Corinthians 5:17
Devotional Thought:
The Gospel requires a response. It is not enough to simply hear about Jesus—we must believe in Him, confess Him as Lord, and surrender our lives to Him. Salvation is a gift of grace, not something we can earn. When we accept Christ, we become a new creation, set free from condemnation, and given a fresh start.
Reflection Question:
Have you personally responded to the Gospel? If so, how can you live out this Good News daily?
