FAITH
Faith Is the Foundation of All Human Function
Even outside Christianity, life itself operates on faith.
-
You sit in a chair believing it will hold you.
-
You drive through an intersection believing others will stop.
-
You deposit money believing the bank will secure it.
-
You marry believing love will endure.
Everyone lives by faith — the question is what (or who) your faith is in.
Faith Determines Your Emotional Stability
Where your faith rests determines your peace.
-
Faith affects anxiety levels.
-
Faith affects resilience.
-
Faith affects hope.
So Why Does Faith Matter?
Faith:
-
Connects you to God
-
Sustains you in uncertainty
-
Anchors you in hardship
-
Produces perseverance
-
Replaces fear with peace
-
Determines direction
Without faith, life is reactionary. With faith, life becomes purposeful.
Faith Is How We Relate to God
Faith is not optional in Christianity. It is the doorway. You cannot walk with a God you do not trust. Ephesians 2:8–9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith…”
Faith restores relationship, removes condemnation, and brings peace.
The Bigger Question
Everyone has faith in something:
-
Faith in money
-
Faith in government
-
Faith in self
-
Faith in relationships
-
Faith in science
-
Faith in God
The real question is not “Do you have faith?” Is your faith strong enough to hold the weight of your life?
